This is the forest where Latter Day Saints believe that God and Jesus Christ physically appeared to Joseph Smith.
This event holds great significance to us because we believe that they gave him guidance that later resulted in the Restoration of Jesus Christ's original Church, which had been lost since the death of the apostles in about 100AD.
I have always wanted to come here since my baptism 4 years ago! It is so awesome.
